At Latitude59, I designed and built a speaker management platform, managing a pipeline of over 50 speakers for a live international conference, coordinating across technical and operations stakeholders with no prior blueprint for how it should be done. What the programme sharpened in me wasn't just engineering skill but also engineering judgment: the ability to spot problems before they're assigned, make defensible decisions under ambiguity, and bring clarity to teams that need it. Beyond the work, Tallinn itself changed how I think about relationships. In a city where almost everyone knows everyone, I saw firsthand what a high-trust, high-density network looks like, and it permanently raised my standard for the people I want around me. It has been a great experience for me. Working at Kood has enhanced my self discipline in delivering results under minimal supervision. Through the courses at TLU, I have gathered new insight on how to improve the current CBE curriculum in Kenya, and how to make learning an interactive and personalized process for students. I have also learnt a lot from all the tech events and hackathons that I have attended. They have all given me a challenge to do my part in improving the state of the Kenyan tech community. There are a lot of lessons to learn from the tech ecosystem here in Estonia, like how successful founders still show up in tech meet ups, and how they come together as co-founders of other startups. Living in Estonia these past months has honestly changed me a lot.
