In 2024, Digital Explorers programme offers career advancement opportunities for 150 Nigerian, Kenyan and Armenian ICT talents in both local and Baltic ICT companies. In a nutshell, it gives you a chance to receive many years of experience in a single journey and accelerate your career at full speed.
Corresponding to the needs of techies at different career stages, Digital Explorers II features dedicated tracks for trainees, advanced experts and seasoned professionals, looking to expand their professional horizons.
In 2024, we are looking for experienced Front-End & Back-End developers and DevOps engineers. In addition, if you have data analytics/data science skills and have just kicked-off your career in the field, do apply and connect with a community moving in the same direction!
Fill in our free online application form. You will have to provide personal details, demonstrate your previous experience, as well as to provide argumentation as to why you want to become a Digital Explorer. You will also be asked to upload a short video about your motivation and achievements. The call for applications will be open until the 31st of January, 2024, but we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible, as the programme team will process applications as they come. Secure your place early on!
Selected candidates will be asked to complete an online technical task, which will help us to further evaluate your skills. Please be aware that the system has plagiarism detection, and therefore candidates who have not performed the tasks themselves will be disqualified. Only the best performing candidates will proceed further. You will have only a day to perform the task and you will need to ensure a stable internet/ power connection.
Based on your application and practical task results you might be invited to a round of interviews with our selection team, the goal of which is to assess your motivation, soft and technical skills. Please bear in mind that only the best performing candidates will be invited to the interview stage.
For the prospective data science trainees, after successfully completing this stage you will be invited to embark on remote data science training offered by Turing College, which will facilitate your professional growth and allow us to further shortlist the candidates.
Only the best performing candidates will proceed and participate in soft & hard skills tests and interviews with perfect-match local and Baltic ICT companies.
The final pool of shortlisted candidates for the data science/ analytics traineeship track will be invited to participate in intensive on-site trainings, organised separately in Nigeria, Kenya and Armenia. Sessions will consist of practical tasks, learning sessions, and a hackathon with the participation of ICT companies and fellow techies. If you are pre-selected for the traineeship track, you must be physically present to advance to the final round. Travel and lodging costs will be covered by Digital Explorers.
Based on performance in previous stages and fitness for the journey, shortlisted candidates will receive offers from companies. It is important to understand that both You and companies are choosing at this stage, so stay patient!
For Explorers matched with Baltic companies, after you receive an offer and sign an agreement with your perfect match, we will start all necessary procedures for you to acquire the visa. While waiting for the documents to be processed you will take part in workplace awareness trainings and may start getting cozy with your new colleagues remotely. Once everything is ready, you officially start your journey. Alongside covered relocation costs (and a monthly stipend, accommodation and tailored additional training for trainees), a friendly Digital Explorers community will help you to land on the right foot in the Baltics.
